What is DataNature?

DataNature is a unified data intelligence platform by Dlytica Inc. It is a fully managed PaaS that provides BI dashboards, SQL analytics, data processing, workflow orchestration, data ingestion, AI/LLM workflows, notebooks, object storage, and a data warehouse — all in one place, without managing infrastructure.

What is a workspace?

A workspace is your isolated environment on DataNature. It includes dedicated compute, storage, and a full set of data tools (Superset, Trino, Spark, Airflow, NiFi, dbt Core, JupyterHub, and more). Each workspace is billed separately and is fully isolated from other workspaces.

What is a DNU?

DNU (DataNature Unit) is the universal billing unit for DataNature. All usage — compute, storage, BI, pipelines, and AI/ML — is measured in DNUs. You pay based on actual consumption. See Billing & Pricing for rates and tiers.

What data formats does DataNature support?

DataNature uses open data formats — no vendor lock-in:

• Apache Iceberg is the default table format, providing schema evolution, hidden partitioning, and time travel
• Delta Lake is available as an optional format for ACID transactions
• Apache Hudi is available as an optional format for upserts and incremental processing

Your data is always stored in open formats that you own. If you ever leave DataNature, your data comes with you.

Can I bring my own data warehouse?

Yes. While DataNature includes DN Warehouse out of the box, you can connect your own Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or any JDBC-compatible warehouse. Use it alongside or instead of DN Warehouse — all workspace tools work with both.

Where can DataNature be deployed?

DataNature is a sovereign data platform that runs wherever your data needs to be:

• Public Cloud — AWS, Azure, GCP, OVHcloud
• Private Cloud — Your private cloud infrastructure, including Ncell Private Cloud for Nepal data sovereignty
• Hybrid Cloud — Combine on-premises and cloud resources
• On-Premises — Full deployment in your own data center
• Airgap — Completely isolated environments with zero external connectivity

You choose the cloud and region. Your data stays in your infrastructure, your country, and under your control.

How do I add users?

1. Log in to app.platform.dlytica.com
2. Go to Users (or Team / Members) in your workspace dashboard
3. Click Invite User
4. Enter the email address, select a role (Admin, Developer, or Viewer), and send the invitation

Only workspace Admins can invite users. See Users & Roles for details.

Can I connect my own databases?

Yes. Use Connections to link external databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and REST APIs to your workspace. Once added, connections are available across Superset, Trino, NiFi, Airflow, and other tools.

What clouds are supported?

DataNature runs on OVHcloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP. It can also be deployed on private clouds (including Ncell Private Cloud), on-premises data centers, and in airgap environments. Contact sales for availability in specific regions.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New workspaces include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. You get full access to the platform to explore and evaluate.
